Orono, Maine – The University of Maine-led DeepCwind Consortium is extending the deadline for a Prequalification Questionnaire to identify qualified concept designers for a prototype testing and evaluation program of floating wind platform designs. The revised deadline for responses to the Prequalification Questionnaire is July 23, 2010.
Following review of the Prequalification Questionnaires, the DeepCwind Consortium may release a Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified designers to engineer and evaluate their design through intermediate scale prototype testing in the Gulf of Maine. This research would be partially funded by the Department of Energy and the State of Maine.
The Prequalification Questionnaire is available for download here.
